The End of 2025: It Almost Felt Like Coming Home (Teresa and Tyler at Red Barn Acres)
2025 was a year filled with so many beautiful events- weddings with monochrome, neutrals, west coast power pops, a few corporate events (YES! we do corporate events too! I cut my teeth on University events.) Each client was so wonderful and kind, each event had unique flair. By the end of the year they all blended together into a meld of one theme: LOVE. The team at bella&fern was tired but satisfied with our performance and happy to wrap the year and spend time with our loved ones at the holidays. With one final wedding left, our season was all but done….enter December 21st 2025 at Red Barn Acres.
Referrals from vendor partners are the ultimate honor, it means my company has out performed others in terms of excellence. When Dustin & Corynn send their people our way, we KNOW it is going to be something special. From the first call with Teresa and her loving mother, I could tell this wedding was going to be something more than magic, it was going to be exactly the season ender everyone needed before a cozy Christmas holiday.
Teresa described her vision as a fairytale winter wonderland with touches of unique personality flair (wait until you see the cake!) Her mother Cathy poured hours making sure every detail was right on the dress and veil while also juggling her son’s wedding as well.
We assisted in selecting some vendor partners such as the amazing Quinn Kumfer of Parlor City Productions , hair and makeup through Beautiful Memories , and the aforementioned (delicious and creative!) cake by Caking at Midnight. Tyler and Teresa partnered with the beautiful venue of Red Barn Acres (which if you have not been is so unique, nestled in Fremont with mini pigs on site! The owners work tirelessly to keep everything pristine with a range of decor options and include all the labor assistance you could need! Sound provisions were expertly run on two levels by Miller’s Mobile DJ Services without issue! Sutton’s Deli provided the bar and catering to round out our vendor team for an overall cohesive experience that made the event feel warm, homey, intimate, and like we stepped into Frozen’s ski chateau with welcome arms.
The day of the wedding was clear, crisp, sunny and joy filled. Everything ran smoothy- probably because of the pepperoni rolls that mom Cathy thoughtfully brought from home for all the vendors. She told us about how coal miners in West Virginia would stay nourished with these yummy treats and wanted us to feel like we had a piece of the bride’s roots with us- I might have cried…my grandmother is looking down on that moment with a smile.
Maid of Honor and her newborn had things under control all day, keeping communication going, which we LOVE as the bridal party knows our couples better than we ever will. Honestly though, bride and groom were equally beaming all day. It was hard to hide the excitement. Flowerman/brother Stephen had contagious excitement as the moment arrived as well. This was a universally “meant to be”, Disney could not have orchestrated it better himself, type of wedding.
At the end of the night during clean up, Teresa and Tyler were laughing, happily married and ready to go home and spend time together. The vendor teams had worked hard with gratitude, truly enjoying every moment of their careers that day together. There wasn’t a hiccup, a misstep, a miscommunication. It was a day that could have only happened from a seed planted in true love, crafted with good intentions by people who truly love what they are doing. It takes a team of professionals in trust to deliver event experiences—because there is a difference between events and event experiences by the way—and I think with the unique combination of magic, princesses, Disney, Star Wars, farming, and the coming together of states, this particular event required expertise of curation for the vision. I would say the Wedding Avengers Assembled and we loved doing it.
Thank you to Teresa and Tyler for trusting us with your cherished day. Thank you to the team of professionals who worked long hours to make sure it all ran smoothly. Thank you for the thoughtful additions of the family in remembering that everyone there were humans—because we are—and for ending a long year on a high note. Days like that cold day in December felt like a homecoming even though it was a venue we had not yet worked, it is one to which we will joyfully return, with vendors who are longtime partners, and clients who we hope to check in on from time to time.
With Love and Gratitude,
Katianna
